The Associació de Casals de Grups de Joves de Catalunya (Association of Youth Clubs and Youth Groups of Catalonia) is a federation which is made up of several youth associations that foster the participation of young people. The youngsters themselves are in charge of the organization and the federation is under the principles of self-management, democracy, secularity and social transformation.

The meaning of this federation responds to the wish to work together, keeping the idea of a net of inertias that allows all Youth Clubs to optimize resources, be more capable of having an effect on the subjects affecting us as a collective, share experiences and be able to give support to all the projects that, under the principles we share, may wish to join us.

We define Casal de Joves (Youth Club) as a youth project which, being committed to the society, draws together the concerns of young people who mobilize in order to find a common space to share experiences and a suitable project that fulfil us, in fields such as intellectual, expressive, ludic, integration, etc. Therefore the associative Youth Club is a project involved in society, as it analyses its environment and tries to make a change in order to improve it. We understand that the promotion of the participation of young people is the method we all share to achieve the social change.

To make this happen, we develop leisure time activities for young people that, regardless of their typology, always seek the involvement of the youngsters.
